About the Author(s)

Hye-Sook Wang is an associate professor of East Asian Studies at Brown University. She received her Ph.D. in English Language and Linguistics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and has taught all levels of Korean language and culture courses. Professor Wang is a co-author of Integrated Korean: High Advanced (University of Hawaii Press, 2005) and a member of the editorial board of The Korean Language in America. She served as the president of the American Association of Teachers of Korean (AATK) from 2003 to 2006.
